Wildebeest Migration River Crossing
Tour Overview
Starting in July, the river crossing of the wildebeest migration commences, moving in a northward direction and passing through the Lobo and Wagakuria regions as they make their way towards Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve. By September, the wildebeest herds are dispersed across the northern Serengeti National Park and the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. Although a significant number of wildebeest stay in the area during this time, weather fluctuations might cause some herds to return from the Mara. In October, the herds begin their southward movement, heading towards the central Serengeti National Park via the Lobo area of the Serengeti National Park.
