Marangu Route
Tour Overview
The Marangu route, also referred to as the “Coca Cola route,” stands as one of the most popular pathways to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Many hikers consider it the easiest approach to Uhuru Peak because it can be completed in 5 days, making it the most budget-friendly option. Nevertheless, we strongly advise opting for the 6-day hike to enhance your chances of a successful summit. This route is unique in that it offers communal sleeping huts with beds and mattresses at each overnight location. Moreover, basic amenities such as mineral water, beer, and chocolates are available for purchase at most sites. Notably, the Marangu route follows the same path for both ascending and descending the mountain.

On a clear day, Kibo will glimmer in the distance, with sightings of majestic glaciers in the morning sun.
