A condensed three-day version of the Mt Meru hike, the third highest peak in Tanzania, takes you through lush afromontane forests and high-altitude alpine deserts, offering breathtaking vistas of a dormant volcano. This itinerary excludes the last night on the mountain. Instead, after reaching the summit, you will trek all the way back to Momella Gate. It is important to note that for the first two days, an armed ranger is required due to the presence of wild animals. Unfortunately, there are limited rangers available, so all guests must walk together or start together during this period.
